Group Volunteering

The Conservancy’s program is designed for corporate and community groups to participate in special horticulture and maintenance projects. It is a great way to promote volunteerism and help your community while team building for your group. The type of project will depend on the season and the size of your group. Typical projects include raking leaves, pruning, and deadheading roses, weeding, removing plants, and other general maintenance. A commitment of three hours is desired.

Corporate Groups

Our volunteer program is a unique opportunity for corporate groups to promote volunteerism and environmental stewardship while building employee cohesiveness and camaraderie. In addition to team building, this is a great way to deepen professional relationships, especially between older and younger employees, who may not normally connect in the workplace. Volunteering at Elizabeth Park gives your people a way to identify as a philanthropic partner with your company and the community.

Service Organizations and Colleges

We welcome service organizations, garden clubs, community service groups, and university student groups to join us on a one-time or regular basis. We can design a program for targeted times during the season, work on one garden or a special project, or just join us on what is needed that week. Projects include raking leaves, pruning and deadheading roses, weeding, removing plants, and other general maintenance. A commitment of three hours is desired.

Youth Groups and High Schools

Student volunteers under the age of 18 must attend with a teacher, supervisor, or legal guardian who will oversee the group. This is a wonderful experience for young people to learn about gardens, public parks, and community service.
