    Spring Greenhouse Show and Tours

    Elizabeth Park Conservancy opens its Spring Greenhouse Show on Friday, March 15 featuring a spectacular array of spring bulbs and plants grown by Conservancy Horticulturist Rosemary Aldridge; Head Gardener Peter Winne; Gardeners Wesley Gage, David Rivera and Stephanie Bahramian; Park Gardener Vincent Boyce and many volunteers.

    Holiday Coffee Reception

    As a thank you to our members, donors, volunteers, neighbors and friends for your support in 2018, we invite you to attend this annual holiday event on Wednesday, December 5 from 9:30 - 11 am.

    The reception will be at the Pond House, and we will be providing coffee, tea and pastries. President and CEO Christine Doty will present short remarks at 10 am. 

    Admission is free, though reservations are required by November 30 at

    Connecticut Iris Society Fall Cleanup

    Join the Connecticut Iris Society for their fall cleanup of the Iris Beds. Participants are asked to bring their own gloves and tools. The rain/snow date for the event is scheduled for December 1.

    Tree Tour with Arborist John Kehoe

    Join Arborist John Kehoe for an informative Tree Tour through Elizabeth Park. The tour is FREE and begins outside the green Cottage, rain or shine. Kindly RSVP to by October 31.

    Opening and Dedication of the New Pedestrian Entryway at Walbridge Road

    Kitty and Jack Keane invite you, neighbors, friends and friends of Elizabeth Park to a ribbon-cutting in celebration of the new Walbridge Road pedestrian entryway to Elizabeth Park. 

    Connecticut Iris Society Hybridizing Program

    Jan Sacks and Marty Schafer of Joe Pye Weed's Garden will present their latest hybridizing program, focusing on hybridizing Siberian irises.

    Space is limited to 20 guests.

    Bark and Boo!

    Join us for Bark and Boo: a Halloween dog parade and costume contest! Registration begins at 10 a.m. at the stage, followed by a parade around the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden at 10:30 a.m. Dog leashes are required.

    Annual Meeting 2018

    Join us for the Elizabeth Park Conservancy's Annual Meeting on Monday, October 15th at the Pond House from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Each year the Elizabeth Park Conservancy hosts an Annual Meeting and Awards Reception for our supporters and friends to showcase our accomplishments for the year and present awards to those who have made significant contributions to the Conservancy during the past year.

    CT Dahlia Society 60th Annual Show

    The Annual Dahlia Show, held at The Pond House on August 26th, is free to the public. Exhibitors from many states and their members display their dahlia blooms at this show. The mission of the CT Dahlia Society is to stimulate interest in, and promote the culture and development of, the dahlia; to conduct and promote public exhibition of dahlias in Connecticut; to assist its members in learning the most effective ways of dahlia culture.
