    CT Dahlia Society 60th Annual Show

    The Annual Dahlia Show, held at The Pond House on August 26th, is free to the public. Exhibitors from many states and their members display their dahlia blooms at this show. The mission of the CT Dahlia Society is to stimulate interest in, and promote the culture and development of, the dahlia; to conduct and promote public exhibition of dahlias in Connecticut; to assist its members in learning the most effective ways of dahlia culture.     Annual Meeting 2018

    Join us for the Elizabeth Park Conservancy's Annual Meeting on Monday, October 15th at the Pond House from 6:30 to 8:30. Each year the Elizabeth Park Conservancy hosts an Annual Meeting and Awards Reception for our supporters and friends to showcase our accomplishments for the year and present awards to those who have made significant contributions to the Conservancy during the past year. 

    A League of Their Own

    A League of Their Own is a 1992 American sports comedy-drama film that tells a fictionalized account of the real-life All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). 


    Maxxtone, founded in 2003 by Aaron Fay, is a quartet that presents great diversity in its musical offerings. Mixing a vast arsenal of cover songs plus their original compositions, Maxxtone performs at corporate events, private parties and bars, changing its repertoire to suit the occasion.

    Professors of Sweet Sweet Music (POSSM)

    Professors of Sweet Sweet Music (POSSM) is a band influenced by reggae and rock. Featuring guitars, ukuleles and vocals, POSSM performs an eclectic repertoire of popular music. They were voted first runner-up for best local band in the 2016 Hartford Magazine readers’ poll.


    Mass-Conn-Fusion has been performing throughout New England, providing premier entertainment, for over 35 years. As its name suggests, Mass-Conn-Fusion draws its talent from both sides of the Massachusetts-Connecticut border. The group has an extensive repertoire featuring Motown, R&B, Jazz, and Blues hits from the 60s to the present.

    Connecticut Ballet

    Ballet Under the Stars, Connecticut Ballet's annual Marge Wilder Tribute Performance,  will occur on Saturday, July 21st, 6:30 p.m., on Elizabeth Park's Rose Garden Lawn. The all-new program includes world premieres by choreographers Eve Chan and Brett Raphael, the classical Raymonda Variations, and the contemporary ensemble work, Pulse. (Rain date is Sunday, July 22nd at 6:30 p.m.).

    The Sound of Music is a 1965 American musical drama film produced and directed by Robert Wise, and starring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer, with Richard Haydn and Eleanor Parker.

    Latanya Farrell

    Latanya Farrell, a singer-songwriter dubbed “The Queen of Summer Concerts” by the Hartford Courant in 2013, was the champion of the 2003 Connecticut Star Search competition. Her performance, accompanied by The Bookman Styles Band, blends original compositions with popular cover songs.
