The event features a cooking demonstration by Kathy Oberman Tracy, past Martha Stewart TV producer and private chef and caterer to Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward. Also, a talk about unusual basils and their uses by Kathy Donohue and a third presentation about shrubs and bitters by Nana Garrett, accompanied by a basil watermelon shrub drink for all.
A special basil-based lunch will be served by the award-winning Pond House Café, and the unit’s Herbal Cottage will be filled with unique herbal gifts including a wide variety of basil plants—both common and unfamiliar.
In addition, there will be a raffle of sumptuous, gift-filled baskets and other herbal surprises.
